How did Tiuti Wally exist?

The one who took the initiative is Leonardo Cisneros, born and raised in Sarayaku. Secretary of the management and guide. The idea started by Leonardo and his family by improving the quality of the life conditions of the Kichua Amazon Indigenous with mantaining their culture, lenguage and traditions. They have to indicate what they need.

The most important thing is that the people of the Foundation need to work with and at the projects. In this way they get theirselves income. Aim is to help the people to get a job and money finally Women and children are the most important ones.

The expression Tiuti Wally is Kichua and means bird with big eyes (a kind of falcon).

What is Tiuti Wally doing?

The Foundation Tiuti Wally is searching and sponsoring projects that improves the quality of the life conditions of the Kichua Amazon Indigenous. Of course all of the projects will be justified financially. All the members of the Foundation will take care that 100% of the donations will come to the Foundation.

Who are we?

The Ecological Foundation Tiuti Wally is a private non-profit association (NGO), located in the sector Mawka Llakta in the Parish Sarayaku, Canton Puyo, Pastaza Province, deep in the jungle.

You can only get by plane or boat. By air it is a flight of 25 minutes in small sport planes leaving from Shell. By canoe the journey takes about one and a half days and by motor canoe it takes 5 to 6 hours depending on the water level of the river.
